Is 'TRUST' The New Cuss Word?

Exodus 16 (KJV)

And they took their journey from Elim, and all the congregation of the children of Israel came unto the Wilderness of Sin, which is between Elim and Sinai, on the fifteenth day of the second month after their departing out of the land of Egypt. And the whole congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness. And the children of Israel said unto them, "Would to God we had died by the hand of the LORD in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the fleshpots and when we ate bread to the full! For ye have brought us forth into this wilderness to kill this whole assembly with hunger." Then said the LORD unto Moses, "Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a certain rate every day, that I may put them to the proof, whether they will walk in My law, or no. And it shall come to pass that on the sixth day they shall prepare that which they bring in, and it shall be twice as much as they gather daily." And Moses and Aaron said unto all the children of Israel, "At evening, then ye shall know that the LORD hath brought you out from the land of Egypt; and in the morning, then ye shall see the glory of the LORD, for He heareth your murmurings against the LORD. And what are we, that ye murmur against us?" And Moses said, "This shall be when the LORD shall give you in the evening flesh to eat and in the morning bread to the full, for the LORD heareth your murmurings which ye murmur against Him. And what are we? Your murmurings are not against us, but against the LORD." And Moses spoke unto Aaron, "Say unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, `Come near before the LORD, for He hath heard your murmurings.'" And it came to pass, as Aaron spoke unto the whole congregation of the children of Israel, that they looked toward the wilderness, and behold, the glory of the LORD appeared in the cloud. And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying,"I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel. Speak unto them, saying, `At evening ye shall eat flesh, and in the morning ye shall be filled with bread; and ye shall know that I am the LORD your God.'" And it came to pass that at evening the quails came up and covered the camp, and in the morning the dew lay round about the host. And when the dew that lay had gone up, behold, upon the face of the wilderness there lay a small round thing, as small as the hoarfrost on the ground. And when the children of Israel saw it, they said one to another, "What is this?" For they knew not what it was. And Moses said unto them, "This is the bread which the LORD hath given you to eat. This is the thing which the LORD hath commanded: `Gather of it every man according to his eating, an omer for every man, according to the number of your persons. Take ye every man for those who are in his tents.'" And the children of Israel did so and gathered, some more, some less. And when they measured it with an omer, he that gathered much had nothing over, and he that gathered little had no lack; they gathered every man according to his eating. And Moses said, "Let no man leave any of it until the morning." Notwithstanding, they hearkened not unto Moses; but some of them left part of it until the morning, and it bred worms and stank. And Moses was wroth with them. And they gathered it every morning, every man according to his eating; and when the sun waxed hot, it melted. And it came to pass that on the sixth day they gathered twice as much bread, two omers for one man; and all the rulers of the congregation came and told Moses. And he said unto them, "This is that which the LORD hath said: `Tomorrow is the rest of the holy Sabbath unto the LORD. Bake that which ye will bake today, and boil what ye will boil; and that which remaineth over lay up for yourselves to be kept until the morning.'" And they laid it up until the morning, as Moses bade; and it did not stink, neither was there any worm therein. And Moses said, "Eat that today, for today is a Sabbath unto the LORD. Today ye shall not find it in the field. Six days ye shall gather it, but on the seventh day, which is the Sabbath, in it there shall be none." And it came to pass that there went out some of the people on the seventh day to gather, and they found none. And the LORD said unto Moses, "How long refuse ye to keep My commandments and My laws? See, for the LORD hath given you the Sabbath; therefore He giveth you on the sixth day the bread for two days. Abide ye every man in his place. Let no man go out of his place on the seventh day." So the people rested on the seventh day. And the house of Israel called the name thereof manna; and it was like coriander seed, white; and the taste of it was like wafers made with honey. And Moses said, "This is the thing which the LORD commandeth: `Fill an omer with it to be kept for your generations, that they may see the bread wherewith I have fed you in the wilderness when I brought you forth from the land of Egypt.'" And Moses said unto Aaron, "Take a pot, and put an omer full of manna therein, and lay it up before the LORD to be kept for your generations." As the LORD commanded Moses, so Aaron laid it up before the testimony, to be kept. And the children of Israel ate manna forty years, until they came to a land inhabited. They ate manna until they came unto the borders of the land of Canaan. Now an omer is a tenth part of an ephah.

Manna: In the Hebrew- man (mawn); it's base is the actual exclamation, "What!"; literally a whatness [so to speak], i.e. manna (so called from the question about it)

The Bible Scholar Spiros Zodhiates, Th.D. gave commentary on this (with special emphasis on verses 13-15), and it reads:
The events of this passage were another of the steps in building the faith of Israel. There were no facilities in the Sanai wilderness to feed several million people, let alone their herds and flocks. God had provided water; He would now provide food. The provision of quail was miraculous-the birds were native to the region, but they could only be found in small and scattered numbers. God brought multitudes of quail, though the text does not tell how frequently this occurred. Manna differed in that it was God's daily provision from this time until Israel entered the promised land and was able to eat its crops (ref: Josh 5;12). Gathering the manna each day would increase Israel's dependance upon God. The amount gathered would be just sufficient (ref: Ex 16;18), confirming God's personal care. There is no natural way to explain the nature of manna; it was truly "bread from heaven." Manna was a type of Jesus, who is "Bread of life" (ref: John 6;32-35).

This morning I desire to encourage you in establishing TRUST. In this time we live there are few things we can trust in, anymore. Everywhere you look, business that we have come to depend on are closing down, or raising prices, or making customer service their las thought. The same sentiment could be said of the people we trust and depend on as well. Our government doesn't seem to be performing to a standard that warrents trust. Our public education system surely will not open up so we can trust. Then there is corporate "america"..... No reason to even speak about trusting them jokers. But, we also have a serious issue with trust within our homes. Within our very own families. It appears this SHOULD BE the one place where TRUST can and should be found. I mean, am I right?

Could it be that we have gotten to the place of repeating the actions of these very same Israelites? Murmuring about a place that we know we definetely do not care to return to, yet we haven't reached that far off, spoken about, place called "promised land". Are we murmurers? Are we murmuring? If we are, then God hears us, and will provide. Just as he provided for those very same Israelites. Of course, in today's time it isn't solely about food (although some are in need of that alone). We are in need of provisions of TRUST. We need to have God be God so that we can get back to TRUSTING in Him. Where, or How does this begin? Oh, it is a radical idea, but it will work. You all ready? It begins with...... Us Men!!!!!

Men have got to get back, underneath God's Wisdom, Knowledge, Understanding, and Direction. To know exactly what it is that God is desiring of each and every one of us, thereby restoring himself back to his RIGHTFUL place in God, and in the eyesight of man. When this occurs, our Women will see that their Men are trusting (and following) God and begin to TRUST in the Men. Oh yes! It WILL HAPPEN..... It is actually happening in households already. I know of several families where the Man is following God, and his Wife and children TRUST solely in him (because they TRUST in God); to know that God is leading the Man, and that the Man is following God. They have experienced that "manna-like" provision time and time again.

So, if you are sitting, reading this blog post, take a moment to inventory your life. Take note of how much TRUST you place in God; to follow His Commandments, and walk behind the Image of Christ Jesus. For my Brothers, it is as simple as: GET UNDER GOD'S PROTECTIVE COVERING!!!!! My pastor, Frank Wilson, spoke this about two to three years ago. When we, as Men, get serious about being under God's protective covering, our Women WILL move under with us. They WILL NOT see any other good reason not to do it.

Brothers, why do you think this world pulls so hard at your attention to see it's definition of "Manhood"? It is because this world understands that if you begin to turn away, and turn towards God and His TRUTH about who you really are, you will begin to walk in VICTORY. That is why so much is out of whack, and we are having this difficulty with TRUST. The enemy desires you to so not trust anyone or anything that when Christ Jesus shows up, into your life, you would not know how or why to TRUST Him. But, I came by, this morning, to encourage you all..... TRUST GOD!

You can TRUST GOD!!!!! You should TRUST GOD!!!!! If only you would sit and read of Him through His Word. You would begin to see the way to establishing TRUST in GOD.... I cannot offer any formulaic, hocus-pocus, add water, mix and stir, type of recipe answer. All I can offer you is this. If you are at a point where TRUST has become a cuss word, then it is time to turn to Christ Jesus. No! Seriously. No other, flesh and blood, human can help you. For every human (me included) has the potential and ability to fail you. Even if failing you is not their desire. But God, He WILL NEVER fail you. That is why you have to place your life in His hands.

This thing TRUST is available for you: for you to grab ahold to it and pull your TRUE SELF out of it. Please, do not delay any longer. Go see about Jesus!!!! Go!!!! TRUST

Jesus Said........

Matthew 6;5-13 (KJV)

And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

It is quite amazing that Jesus layed out the way we are to go to the Father in prayer and yet most of us will not even learn to recite these words. Prayer.... it is a game changer. In the sense that once a prayer is made, the tide can turn within an instance.

For these past few days, I have been praying concerning this next level that I am stepping into. What continues to keep me moving forward is the fact that I know I can access God thru prayer. It can be done at any hour of the day. Prayer (communicating with God) is wonderful!!!

Ever felt like you couldn't make it through the rest of your workday? Then you find your way to the bathroom, close the door to the stall, and just pray? Once you returned to your work area, didn't the rest of that workday seem to go so much more smoothly? I am asking these questions so that you all will be encouraged to remember during the next "difficult" workday. Likewise, when you don't pray about a matter, the situation could become rocky, and you end up exhibiting characteristics which could not be associated with being a child of God. I am currently dealing with a situation that is such. I entered into agreement with a friend, without praying about it, and my agreement wasn't for any other benefit other than the satisfaction of my flesh. Oh how I regret not seeking God on the matter!!!!!!

Please, my Brothers and Sisters, if you didn't quite read all of the above, please, pay close attention to this little bit. Pray about everything! Trust Yer Brova when I tell you. If I had taken one moment to seek God about this situation, I would have Peace, Joy, and Comfort. Now, it is not a disater in my life (God protects us from even ourselves), but I do have to get a taste of what the full weight could have been. All because I didn't pray.... Understand?

So, as you find yourself in whatever situation you may, do not hesitate to pray about it. If you are standing on the Mercedes Benz lot, looking at that new CLK. Pray about it. If you are walking through the mall and see a pair of Manolos. Yes! Pray about it. If you standing in front of the engagement ring counter at Robbins Bros. Please, pray about it. If he is on his knee with that two carat, emerald cut, invisible set engagement ring. Pray about it. Do not allow any situation to pass by, anymore, without prayer. And, if you are sitting their, saying to yourself, "I would not know what to say in all of those different situations". Well, Jesus told you what to say.

This One Might Be A Little Too Deep

Genesis 1;1 (KJV)

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

John 1;1 (KJV)

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Isaiah 43;10-11 (KJV)

Ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord, and my servant whom I have chosen; that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.
I, even I, am the Lord; and beside me there is no savior.

Now, here is where it all gets DEEP. It, either, is God IS God (to have His Word be Him) or God IS NOT God (that the Word is separate from God).

The question I have (which should build the fellowship), is that if God IS, as He states He IS in Isaiah, then where is the separation of God and the Word? Meaning, when God speaks, God accomplishes. So, isn't the spoken Word of God (Logos), God (Yahweh, Jehovah, The God of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob)? Oh! And, please don't let me forget this bit of information:

Numbers 23;19 (KJV)

God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

Hebrews 6;13-14 & 17-18 (KJV)

For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself,
Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee.
Wherein God, willing more abundantly to show unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath:
That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:

This IS fellowship. I leave open the floor. Please let us discuss the question, meekly and humbly, so that a better understanding of God, Christ Jesus (God), and the Holy Spirit (God) will be seen.

Now, It Should Be Crystal Clear........

Ephesians 2;1-10 (KJV)

And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
Among whom also we all had our conversations in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.
But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
That in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast.
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Good morning Brothers and Sisters. I desire to encourage you today, in that you HAVE TO KNOW that you 1. if standing as a child of God, you are no longer to think yourself close to who you used to be. God has moved you "far away" from that past. And 2., if standing on the edge of decision to accept the gift of salvation, and give your life over to Christ Jesus, you are about to become a totally NEW PERSON!!! Oh, Hallelujah!!!!

This morning's encouragement was actually brought to me, by one of my Sisters in Christ, as an invitation to read and study the entire 2nd chapter of Ephesians. Thank you for that prompting Sisza Moore. As soon as I began to break it down, I could see that I was building desire to share in the fellowship. So, I asked Christ to lead me in what to share, and it was given to me to encourage you in the fact that you HAVE TO see yourselves without any obstruction, cloudiness, misunderstanding, or faulty information. Your view has to be just as God sees you, 'Crystal Clear'.

Honestly, when you sit and study (I pray you will sit and study) the Truth of who you are should begin to stand out before you reach verse 5. For in the first 4 verses Paul is alerting us that we ARE NOT LIKE those who "walk" according to the course of this world, or according to the prince of the power of the air. You may have "walked" as such 'in time past', but not any longer. You are quickened!!!! Made Alive!!! Sure, you used to engage in conversations that fulfilled the lusts of the flesh, but that ain't you any longer. You get it?!?! You "SEE" it?!?! It is right there. In black and white. It should be crystal clear....

And for those of you who are being encouraged: those who stand on the edge of decision, you to can see clearly that the reason this IS a true statement for you as well, upon securing salvation, is with the VERY TRUE statement, in verse 4, But God. But God! But God.....
You know this way of life for you is not fulfilling. You know that every night, you sit, wondering, "Why does it have to be like this?" But God. He saw you asking that question, and that is why He allowed for the blood of Christ Jesus; His blood, to be shed. Verse 7 shows you that truth. God saw you, in this time and day, from before the need in your life every thought about arising. LOL As the country saying goes, "God saw you before your Grandfather was twinkle in his Grandfather's eyes". That is why Paul writes, 'That in the ages to come'.... God knew you would NEED Him because you can't, again I state that you CAN'T, do it on your own. So, you have opportunity to see that those who ARE children of God are no different than you. And to keep it really real, I surely can tell you that anything you see of me, that is good, IS TOTALLY of God. I was one of the chief sinners, before I begin to "walk" after Christ Jesus to fulfill the will of God. You, NOW, have that same opportunity to make that your statement of truth as well.

Brothers and Sisters, it truly is not difficult to see who you really are; according to the eyesight of God. What has to be done, is you allowing God to be in control. Give up. Submit. Allow for all of what God IS and CAN DO to rule your life. You will end up thanking Him anyway. Sometimes, I sit and say to myself, "Why didn't I see the clarity in this truth earlier in my life."
Then I get the opportunity, every now and again, to SEE why. It is when I am prompted to share with someone the goodness of Christ Jesus, in my life. I get the chance to see the cloudiness remove itself from in front of them. I am, sometimes, allowed to view their wiping away the obstruction so they can see clearly. God has allowed me, to be present, every now and again, to hear someone say, "Thank you God! It's all crystal clear to me!"

I offer you, you who are being encouraged, you who might not know Jesus Christ as your own personal Lord and Savior. I offer you the opportunity to receive Him as such, within your life, right now. First, go with me to Romans 10;9-11, and read. Now, ask Christ Jesus to come into your heart. Become Lord and Savior of your life. Believe that He IS dwelling within you. You have now received salvation!!!! Hallelujah!!!!

I seriously stress that you, now, become part of a good Bible believing church. I do not know what area of this world that you are in, but I am willing to believe that those who are reading this, and are rejoicing at you entrance into the family will (in the comment box) leave the name of their church, just in case you are around the corner from them. And, if you are in the Los Angeles, CA area, I invite you to come to fellowship with me and my church family. We are New Dawn Christian Village. 2328 St. James Place Los Angeles, CA 90007. You can also contact us, on the web, at ndcv.org

I am so happy for you; who have made the decision to have Christ Jesus as your own personal Lord and Savior. Continue to walk after Christ, and watch your life become abundantly more full of life. God bless you, and God keep you.

Don't Be Scuuuuurd........ It's Just The Truth

Matthew 10;26-31 (KJV)

Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known.
What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops.
And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father.
But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.

I was brought to this passage through my prayer time this morning. It is to be given, as encouragement, to you all because there are some who ARE sitting, in a corner (spiritually), scared to step out for what they think (again, this is your own thought) is going to happen.
"Oh! I have this awesome job I love and to start speaking about Christ Jesus, on the job, just might make upper management reconsider me for that promotion."
Psalm 75, in and around the 6th verse, it states that promotion comes neither from the east, west, or south. But God is judge and He raises one, and sets one down (paraphrasing).
"Man! I just got into this social club and if I start telling all of them about Christ Jesus, they might kick me out. And, I need these contacts. This is the best networking opportunity I have ever had."
Matthew recorded, in his Gospel, that Jesus spoke, "Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven."
This example goes out to all my friends in entertainment.
"God understands that the industry I am in might call for me to not speak about him. He knows, in my heart, that I love him and know him, but if I want to continue in this business, I am going to have to play the game."
In the Proverbs (4;23) we see that we are told, Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. Elsewhere, in the Gospel according to Mark (8;36), we read that Jesus says, "For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?"
Not to mention God, in Deuteronomy (5;6-9), told you that, "I am the Lord thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage. Thou shalt have none other gods before me. Thou shalt not make thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the waters beneath the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me,"

These examples, however small, are to set before you the increasing need to be encouraged for your decision to follow behind Christ Jesus in a world that is committed to tearing you away from that power, peace, comfort, assurance, and Truth. My Brothers and Sister, trial and tribulations will come. That is written in the word of God as well. It is written to let us know that it shouldn't surprise us when the trial comes. No! We shouldn't be scared, perplexed, unsettled, nor taken aback. Why? Because we have Christ Jesus, and with him resting within us; to work for us, and work through us, we have a power that this world knows it cannot contend with.

So, I complete today's fellowship: your encouragement, with this scripture. It should, when taken in, studied, metitated upon, committed to memory, show us that no matter what comes our way, we have no need to be "scared". We are God's children, to be in active possession of all the rights, and priviledges that come with being His children. No one, no agent of the enemy can remove that Truth. Please read, consider, and live it out. 1 John 4;1-6 (KJV)

Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.
We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

Today's Laboring

Galatians 6;9 (KJV)

And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

Paul, here in the sixth chapter, is opening up (v1-6) with the reminder to all that "putting in work" for the upliftment of others is to not be dismissed, and that it should be done from a position of understanding that the worker is to not receive any PRIDEFUL thoughts of recognition. He even alerts all to the fact that when the work is being done, it has to be 'proved' (v4). I like that because it makes us walk with a conscious remembrance of why we are working. Then Paul goes further (v7-8) to remind all that the work done is being watched over by God, and to not forget that God WILL NOT be made fun of by having a worker speak that the work is "of God". Oh, you would want to remember this always, when doing your work, because there will be payment for the work done. That is an assurance set aside by God.

Now we get to the scripture of focus. Verse 9, and immediately we need to to take in the knowledge that Paul sticks this in as an addition, a "do not get sad" type of addition, to secure all that the payment for spiritual work DOES get paid out. Again, it is an assurance. So on this Labor Day I desire to encourage you all to not look upon the work, that truly is "of God", as not having a payment attached to it. You have to know, from this point forward, that all you are doing to encourage, uplift, edify, minister, or just plain ol' serve someone has a payment attached to it, and this payment (the blessing) WILL BE PAID by God.

Why must Paul, at the very beginning, let us know to not 'be weary'? The short, simple answer: We have the tendency to work with one hand and seek immediate payment with the other. But, if payment doesn't arrive in the time we expect it to, we begin to slow down our work. I lean towards the thought that the slow down is not 'weariness' as much as it is 'work under protest'. Now, that's my thought. That is not what Paul is stating with the word. Actually, weary in the Greek is ekkakeo (ek-kak-eh'-o) which means to be (bad or) weak, i.e. (by implication) to fail (in heart). Think of a person setting out to plant a section of shrubs within a botannical garden. As they are going about there work, they begin to think of stopping. This thought leads to the "slowing down" or becoming weary while working. Paul is saying, "Don't let the thought in because the payment IS behind the work."

For in due season we shall reap. First off, whenever you see the word 'shall' it should be understood as IT WILL HAPPEN!!! Nothing can or will stop it from happening. So, here we see that in our well doing of working for those things that are "of God", we are encouraged to NOT get weary because a guaranteed, without fail payment is attached. Here is where we, the worker, get "bent". The knowledge that this payment will arrive 'in due season'..... Being totally honest with you all, what does 'in due season' mean? I ask because I am still looking for payment for some work I put in two years ago. LOL I am just being honest (transparent). You know this just might be your pondering as well. Okay to ease your mind, this 'in due season' means the payment arrives when you are ready to do the proper "of God" thing with it. Lost a few of you with that one. What Paul is getting us to see is that when we are doing the work; laboring, for things that are "of God" we can and should have the sure knowledge that payment is coming. And, the payment IS our's, but the payment will be "of God" because we will be in a place to spend the payment on that which is "of God". This is why Paul tags on the last bit, "if we faint not".

That small caveat is the Holy Spirit acknowledging that we are the type of workers who look to spend our payment on things that are not "of God", so the time period of payment (within God's knowledge) is going to be according to our desire to do those things that are "of God". I think about myself. There are many things which I would so enjoy spending a paycheck on, but God has more for me to do, and the things I am going to need to accomplish the more have to be "purchased" first. So my payment may just have to come in the time when God knows that I will get the things that are "of God". But, if I am focused on those things that are not, then that is not the 'in due season' time to receive. I seriously shouldn't expect payment. Yup, that is a little hard for me to swallow too.

Brothers and Sisters, we must understand that God is not in the business of witholding payment from any of his workers that are out "laboring" for things that are "of God". What God doesn't desire for us to do is spend the payment on selfish gain, or things that are only leading us to 'corruption', death, and hell. Please, on this Labor Day, take a moment or two to reflect on the last payment you received (from the work you did). What did you do with it? Think about whether or not, if God were your employer, would the paycheck have a payment amount on it? Or, would the payment be, "in due season"?
