Why Her?

This presentation is meant for my younger Brothers. I ask that an adult sit with them, at the time that they read it, and discuss the material. *IT IS TIME TO EXPOSE THE LIE*

Please open your Bible and go with me to these four passages, in succession. All are in the KJV

Proverbs 5;20
 And why wilt thou, my son, be ravished with a strange woman, and embrace the bosom of a stranger? --- God's question to a man (He understands why we would. The question arises as a highlight for us to search out wisdom; the wisdom needed to recognize that "strange" woman)

Judges 14;3
Then his father and his mother said unto him, [Is there] never a woman among the daughters of thy brethren, or among all my people, that thou goest to take a wife of the uncircumcised Philistines? And Samson said unto his father, Get her for me; for she pleaseth me well. --- A Parent's question (This question arises due to upbringing- the visual representation of women- within the home and community. Basically, how can a "strange" woman, such as her, please you son?)

*KEEP IN YOUR MIND* Fornication: In the Greek- porneia (por-ni'-ah) from porneuo (porn-yoo'-o). porneia means harlotry (including adultery and incest); figuratively it means idolatry:- fornication. Based on it's root meaning, fornication is to play the part of a person (male or female) that will sell themselves, for whatever fee determined. This doesn't always include money. 

Galatians 5; 16-21
This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. --- A Brother's statement (Due to the position of 'Friendship', a Brother; if he is a true Brother, will [most times] not question the woman, "strange" or not, you are with. What will occur is that your Brother will give you alot of words of caution. Something like, "Listen Bruh, you may want to think about how things been going with your life, since you been with that girl. I mean, I got your back and all but, keep your eyes open. That's all I am saying.")

Revelation 2;20-22   
Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols. And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not. Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds. --- Jesus speaking judgement (Concerning the continuance of those that walk after this "strange" woman, and self-gratification, fleshly desires, and eyesight driven lusts.)

I opened with those lyrics because, as I stated earlier, there has to be a clear cut understanding about the type of woman I am speaking of in this presentation.

*DISCLAIMER*
Brova Stokes is not condemning, nor judging any woman. This presentation is for my Brothers, 15 and up; to spark the beginning of an intense self-evaluation. We, as men: I, myself included, must root out this idea of a woman that will not only be a perfect wife and mother (in public), but at the time, be the nastiest whore we ever came across; to serve us and be of service to us whenever we feel (in private).  

First and foremost, we must grasp at this "strange" woman. Who is she? What are her motives toward us men? How does she operate? Yes, I will do my best to stay open to the Holy Spirit and listen for answer; to pass it along to you all. So, let's break this down for better understanding.

"Strange" Woman: In the Hebrew- zuwr (zoor) meaning to turn aside (especially for lodging); hence, to be foreign, strange, profane; specifically (active participle) to commit adultery:- (come from) another (man, place), fanner, go away, (e-) strange (-r, thing, woman).

Within the context of this presentation, we see that this woman is "strange" due to her efforts, actions, thoughts, motives, and to a degree, her origins (where she comes from) in conjunction to where we, the men, are from. What quickly rose up in my mind is the thought process of this woman [where she is coming from] being brought into close proximity with our thoughts [how we were taught to think of this particular type of woman]. It is the remembrance of my mother's words that make me giggle at this moment. Behind the time she saw me sitting with a girl; who, to my mother, appeared "strange". I say I giggled because I LIKED that girl. HAHAHAHA!!!!! She was the very first girl to do something "strange" to me. Oh Yes! I liked it!, and what is even more important about this remembrance, is that my mother cautioned me about this girl before the "strange"ness occurred. I ignored the instruction (Proverbs 7; 1-5).

The title of the presentation leads to the meat of it. What is it about this type of woman? This prostitute. This porn star. The reported hood rat. The college slut, or pass around Polly. The down right, cut to the chase, "I need light bill money" hookah. Why do these women, and their presentations move us men? Is it the way they dress? Hiding just enough, but showing er'thang else. How about the way they talk? Every movement of their mouth promises that 'Throw yo head back and moan YES' kind of gratification. What about their walk? Hips swaying. Moving in perfect 'nowhere in particular to go' four time beat with an outrageously, igno-ant booty!!!! OH! I just gave away all my lil' playa cards, didn't I? LOL Oh well.

That is what I am trying to present to all y'all. This inclination, we men have, to be entertained by this type of woman. The 'why' this woman prevails over those that are probably even more sexy, loving, protective, supportive, and encouraging than that "strange" woman could ever be. We co-mingle with these familiar women but refuse to give our minds over to the acceptance of wholesome actions, respectful speech, a style of dress that doesn't cause the unnecessary stretching of the fabric that is used to make our pants, and not to mention these familiar women will worship God. That's right! I said it! It had to be said! These women; our Sisters in Christ worship God, not us. But, these women get no thought.

Did I hear a rebuttal? Okay then, Bruh, tell the rest of us how you hold yourself from imagining the view of the top of her head while you were standing up, head bent in prayer, at service last Sunday. Or, explain and assist us with the thought process, by which you operate, that kept you from palming either her breasts or buttocks when you two were kissing, passionately, and no one was there to slap your hand out the way. Hey, if you were successful, and I am not saying you weren't, please, help a Brova!!!!For real!!! I mean, I ain't with anyone at this present time, but I am praying to be 'one flesh'. And, there is still some "stuff" in my head (up top people). Along with certain "tastes" on my tongue which II am constantly praying be removed. Damn!!!! She is back on my lap again!!!........ Marie, go away!!!!

If we go back to the scripture, Proverbs 5; 20, we see God asks the same question we should ask ourselves; us men, when coming into contact (physically or mentally) with this "strange" woman. Why do you get 'RAVISHED' with this woman? 

*DISCLAIMER*
What I am about to do is probably gonna cause some pain, stress, struggle, and strife in my life, but that is what happens when you follow the instructions of Christ Jesus. First, I am going to give the meaning of this word 'ravished', and then (prayerfully and very carefully) I will explain that feeling, for myself, when this woman comes around. Hallelujah! Yes, Lord! This is going to be good!!!!!!!!   

Ravished: In the Hebrew- shagah (shaw-gaw') meaning to stray (causative mislead), usually (figuratively) to mistake, especially (morally) to transgress; by extension (through the idea of intoxication) to reel, (figuratively) be enraptured:- (cause to) go astray, deceive, err, be ravished, sin through ignorance, (let, make to) wander.

Take a moment to reflection what it does, to you, when this "strange" woman comes around (physically or mentally).

The shame, I guess you could say, of my admission about being 'ravished' with this type of woman is that I think..... No!, I know the Lord is telling me to release her from my thoughts, and I stubbornly hold onto her; just in case. In case the wife God has for me (and here is the all inclusive, humanistic, flesh talking) will not 'measure up' to what this "strange" woman has been in my life. Sad ain't it? Of course, I would never tell my future wife about this woman. Christ wants me to get rid of this "strange" woman and trust him, but the last time I trusted Christ, that woman............  Okay, this is about a man's thoughts and actions. Did I tell my ex about this "strange" woman? No. Did I try to get my ex to 'measure up to' that "strange" woman? Yes. This is the exact point where the Hebrews said being 'ravished' would lead me. ASTRAY. It's that simple. No hiding from it. Strip clubs, pornography, imaginations about past freaks. These are the issues I grappled with when being 'ravished'. Then, after my ex walked away from our marriage, who showed up? Uh Huh! Marie, like a sexual lifeguard.

*Yes, my Brother. You are not the only one with a hidden sexual lifeguard. Standing, somewhere, at the ready to "save" you.*  

I still deal with this "strange" woman, even though I have stopped going to the "pool" of gratification so she can 'save' me like a lifeguard is trained to do. She still calls up my mental telephone and leaves those video messages, with the caption, "Don't act like you don't miss me and that special trick I do so well." Truthfully, I want to call her back; become ravished with her again. But, what would that accomplish? What does she desire to deposit within my spirit? Other than, brokenness, despair, false promises, lies, and an inability to ever be able to receive any of the Truth that Christ has for me; with the REAL woman He is preparing me to marry.

All of these scriptures are given, for us; men, to reach the understanding that the "strange" woman we are dealing with: whether she be a prostitute, porn star, chicken head, hood rat, or just a past episode we continue to hold onto, it is time to give her and that desire to be 'ravished' by her over to Christ Jesus. Allow the healing to begin. Allow for Christ to remove from you the lie that is blocking you from the Truth of who you belong to; and of who He has for you. Brothers, we have to start to accept that submission and obedience to God through Christ Jesus will cause for us to have to redefine alot of what we think we are suppose to "have" when it comes to women. This world doesn't care for us!!!! PERIOD!!! This thing we deal with concerning the "strange" woman, only Christ can remove it. We have to offer it up to him, trusting he will give back a blessing of a woman that will fulfill our desires: because our desires will be to please Christ in all we perform. Including our being pleased by that woman.


Now Brothers, it is time to say goodbye to that "strange" woman. Better yet, it's time to FLEE!!!!! (The saints of God know what that is.) If you have videos, DVDs, photos, recordings, or any other type of reminder? THROW IT OUT!!!!! If you got her on speed dial? DELETE CONTACT INFO NOW!!!!! If she is on her way over? LEAVE THE SPOT NOW!!!!! If you are on your way to her? TURN AROUND!!!!!
