Nehemiah 1;3-11
And they said unto me, The remnant that are left of the captivity there in the province are in great affliction and reproach: the wall of Jerusalem also is broken down, and the gates thereof are burned with fire.
And it came to pass, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned certain days, and fasted, and prayed before the God of heaven,
And said, I beseech thee, O Lord God of heaven, the great and terrible God, that keepeth covenant and mercy for them that love him and observe his commandments:
Let thine ear now be attentive, and thine eyes open, that thou mayest hear the prayer of thy servant, which I pray before thee now, day and night, for the children of Israel thy servants, and confess the sins of the children of Israel, which we have sinned against thee: both I and my father's house have sinned.
We have dealt very corruptly against thee, and have not kept the commandments, nor the statutes, nor the judgements, which thou commandedst thy servant Moses.
Remember, I beseech thee, the word that thou commandedst thy servant Moses, saying, If ye transgress, I will scatter you abroad among the nations:
But if ye turn unto me, and keep my commandments, and do them; though there were of you cast out unto the uttermost part of the heaven, yet will I gather them from thence, and will bring them unto the place that I have chosen to set my name there.
Now these are thy servants and thy people, whom thou hast redeemed by thy great power, and by thy strong hand.
O Lord, I beseech thee, let now thine ear be attentive to the prayer of thy servant, and to the prayer of thy servants, who desire to fear thy name: and prosper, I pray thee, thy servant this day, and grant him mercy in the sight of this man. For I was the king's cupbearer.
IT IS TIME!!!!!!!!
As this 1st day of May comes to a close, I have purposed to alert those who would read this blog to the mission statement that is, now, the direction of Yer Brova and his Ministry (Reverse The Curse Ministries).
To begin, as Nehemiah did, I have sat, in prayer with Christ Jesus: to give the desire I have for the increase of the children of God, and for those who would hear the Word of God, and think it doesn't apply to them. I have also asked that nothing but the will of God be shown; to be followed. Next, just like Nehemiah, I sought to rebuild. Yes, we need to be rebuilt, according to the commandments and statutes of God through Christ Jesus.
"How is that going to get accomplished Brova Stokes?"
By the instructions you will receive when you purpose to sit, in counsel, with Christ Jesus. It is that simple. Now, what is to be the role that I am to take on? Nothing more than an encourager, that will be present to give what is necessary, and seek out even more opportunities to reach even more Brothers and Sisters. It is that simple.
First things first, through this blog: as stated before, there will be daily encouragements presented and weekly presentations of scripture study to further encourage you to sit in study with the Word of God. Something new..... A weekly Bible study will be conducted within one of the city parks, here in Los Angeles. Be on the look out for one on your side of town. And lastly, Brova Stokes will begin accepting invitations to conduct community Bible studies thoughout the United States (more information will be supplied upon request). With these few directives it is believed that a new outlook within the city, community, neighborhoods, households, and individuals will occur. Victory is present for us to grab!!!!!
I pray as you read this post you are getting excited for the shift that is taking place. It is now time to REVERSE THE CURSE!!!!!!!!
