Matthew 17;19-20 (KJV)
Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out?
And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
*PLEASE ANSWER THIS ONE QUESTION: Why are you still not allowing Christ Jesus to be Lord and Savior over your life?
Today's encouragement is actually me asking a series of questions. Nothing too deep, but prayerfully they will shine a little more light on all of our lives, and cause us to sit down and seriously examine all of who we are, as well as whose we are.
Okay, so I just asked about your relationship or non-relationship with Christ Jesus. The Son of God: not only that he IS God. Who was allowed to be crucified, and his blood spilled for our sins. He then was buried, and resurrected after three days time, where now Christ sits in heaven; on the right hand of God making intercession for us. This whole retelling is what would be called (in one word) the Gospel: which means good news, and it is the prelude to the question I asked at the beginning. Again, why would you hesitate or even reject the offer made to have Christ Jesus as head of your life; life not only here and now, but life eternal?
Do you think that you are, can, or will be able to do a better job at running your life than Christ Jesus can do? Yes, this a question you should be able to answer. If you CAN answer.
John 15;5 states- I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
Colossians 1;15-18 states- Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have preeminence.
John 14;6 states- Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Okay, so maybe you sit and read all of this and you say to yourself, "I know about Jesus, but I cannot believe that I can be forgiven for all the dirt I have done."
Allow me to offer:
1 John 1;8-9 states- If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Romans 3;23 states- For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
1Corinthians 10;13 states- There hath no temptation taken you but such as is commonto man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
Matthew 11;28-30 states- Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
Then again you could have read all so far and this is your question:
"How do I even know that this what you are giving is true? Wasn't this Bible written by men?"
For that I offer:
John 1;1-2 states- In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
The same was in the beginning with God.
John 1;14 states- And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
I actually have a question for you, who read, asking the questions that I may not have written down. "Do you have faith? Do you know what faith is? Have you ever been told that this relationship, with Christ Jesus, is an issue of faith?"
Hebrews 11;1 states- Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Romans 3;28 states- Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.
Galatians 2;16 states- Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
With these few questions, that I pray you will seek to answer, I do pray you have come to desire to enter into RIGHT RELATIONSHIP with Christ Jesus. I would be remiss if I didn't give you (who are reading and do not know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior) the opportunity to have Christ Jesus come unto you, to rest in your heart: by way of the Holy Spirit. At this time I ask that you go with me over to Romans 10;9-11. Yes, grab your Bible (if you haven't already).
As I write it out, you read it for yourself:
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
For the Scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
Brothers and Sisters, I desire nothing more than to see all of you all receive this gift of Salvation, and if you desire to possess this gift then make confession right now. Repent of your sins. Turn away from them right at this moment and ask Christ Jesus to come unto you; to send the Comforter; which is the Holy Spirit, to dwell with you and thereby sealing you with the blood. After which time, seek out a good Bible based believing church. If you do not know of one, I invite you to connect with my church. New Dawn Christian Village, located at 2328 St. James Pl., Los Angeles, CA 90007. Church office number is (213)670-0082. You can also contact us at www.ndcv.org
I am so excited for you, where you are at this moment. This is a new place, position, and pathway for you to begin in life eternal with Christ Jesus. God bless you and may God keep you. Parting ways but never parting from the Spirit. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen.
Holla,
Yer Brova Catalyst
